Ingredients Required:-
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Oil for frying
- Suhana chakali mix
Recipe:-
- Add the Suhana Chakali Mix, red chilli powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add water to the dry ingredients and knead until the dough softens. The dough should be slightly sticky.
- Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan and keep the flame on medium-high.
- Fill a chakali maker with the dough and press it into the hot oil.
- Fry the chakali until golden brown and crispy. The colour and crispy nature of the chakli depends on how you want them.
- Use a big and slotted spoon to remove the chakali from the oil and drain the excess oil.
- Serve the chakali hot with mint or any other chutney of your liking.
Here are some additional tips for making chakli:
- Make sure that the dough is soft and slightly sticky. This will help in maintaining the chakali’s shape.
- If the dough is too dry, add more water. If the dough is too wet, add more flour.
- Preheat the oil before frying the chakli to fry all the chaklis at the same temperature.
- Fry the chakali over medium heat to prevent the chaklis from burning.
- Don’t fry more than five chaklis together. This will lower the temperature of the oil and make the chakali soggy.
- Drain the chakali well on paper towels before serving. This will remove excess oil.
